About U-Hall Alumni Limited
University Hall Alumni Limited ("the Alumni") was formed in 1989 by a group of graduates of Hong Kong University who, during their university days, resided in University Hall ("U Hall").



Its purpose was to maintain fellowship among past and present U Hall members, promote the spirit of U Hall and support the activities of the students at U Hall.

Headed by the Chairman and two Vice-Chairmen, the Board of Directors organizes the activities of the Alumni. Presently Tong Chun Wan is the Chairman and Trevor Lee and Yu Wai Cho are the two Vice Chairmen. The past-Chairmen includes Norman Leung, Wesley Wong, Victor Yan, Richard Chi, Edward Tsui, Chan Wing Luk, Kenneth Sit and Richard Cheung and it was through their dedication and efforts that U-Hall Alumni Ltd is now a thriving forum for current and past U-Hall residents.

Over the years we have organized many activities that were well attended by graduates and undergraduates of U Hall. Regular events include the annual general meeting and dinner at the Chinese Club in June, the Reunion Dinner at U Hall in December and the spring dinner shortly after Chinese New Year holidays. We have also hosted dinners to honour:
  1. Beloved past U Hall Warden, John Llewellyn, whom we invited back all the way from Wales;
  2. Outstanding alumni Norman Leung, John Chan, Leung Nai Kong and Leong Che Hung, for their social achievements and recognition by the HKSAR Government;
  3. Sam So (三嫂) on her retirement after serving U Hall for over 30 years.

Our graduate members have also been invited to go back to U Hall as guests at its High Table Dinners, Castlers' Night and Nazarene Night maintaining the link and brotherhood with current U-Hall residents. These functions are organised jointly with the University Hall Students Association and the U Hall Warden.

Full Membership of the Alumni is open to graduates of Hong Kong University who have been members of U Hall. Students Association. Student Membership of the Alumni is open to current students of U Hall. The Alumni charges only a small entrance fee.
